U.S. Prisoners Escape
Thirty-two American Army prisoners are reported to have staged a successful! mass break from a Philippines rehabilitation detention camp at Los Banos. The prisoners escaped by digging under a fence. A general alarm has been issued. Stepinac Suffering From T. 15. Archbishop Stepinac, who was sentenced recently to 16 years’ imprisonment at Zagreb, has been sent to hospital suffering from tuberculosis and may be freed, states the Catholic News Agency. The Vatican refuses to comment.
