P.O.W.’S BAR SUNDAY WORK LONDON. Sept. 20. Kent farmers who .are working day and night to save the harvest, despite almost continuous rain, are angry because German prisoners of war refuse to work on Sundays and travel like lords to their jobs, says the Evening News. While farm hands must ride bicycles to work, the prisoners are collected In private cars, taxis and motor coaches.
