CLAIM BY CZECHS
POLISH PEOPLE SHOCKED LONDON. May 1. The Polish Foreign Minister, M. Modzielewski. is quoted by the Warsaw radio as saying that Poland is astonished to learn that Czechoslovakia has placed before the Foreign Ministers’ conference in Paris a claim for Polish territory near the north-eastern frontier of Czechoslovakia. Polish people, it is stated, are shocked by the claim, which is regarded as a most unfriendly act.
