VALUES APPROVED TWO OPOTIKI DEALS LAND COMMITTEE SITS Several farm properties were dealt with by the Gisborne Land Sales Committee, comprising Messrs H. D. Chrisp, chairman, I. F. Watt and F. H. Forge, at its weekly sitting yesterday, the largest single property being a 492-acre holding at Opotiki which changed hands at £9950 with the approval of the committee. The special valuation made by the Crown was £IO,OOO. and the purchaser was a discharged serviceman. Other farms and farmlets subject to applications at the sitting included another Opotiki property of 133 acres freehold and 23 acres leasehold, the agreed price on the land and goodwill being £llßl 10s and that on the stock and chattels £lllß 10s, a total of £3000.' In the other instance an Oprffiki vendor accepted a reduction from £55 to £45 on the twice of a section in Goring street, of 24per. Applications approved without change in conditions of sale included the following: House. Awapuni road, lrd., £3O: section. Anzac street. 30per., £55; business premises. Mill road, with 2rd. (lease). £1 per week for five years, plus rates and insurance, one right of renewal, no compensation.
