TRANS-HARBOR TRAFFIC
AUCKLAND COMMISSION (P.A.) AUCKLAND. March 25 The commission to inquire into, examine and report upon trans-harbour facilities of the Auckland metropolitan area and approaches has been appointed by the Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newail. This was announced in Auckland this morning by the Works Minister, Mr R. Semple. The members of the commission are Sir Francis Frazer. Wellington, chairman, Mr W. R. Beaver. New South Wales, and Mr R. H. Packwood, district engineer. Auckland. The commission, which is reqired to make its report by Julv 31 next, is expected to commence its sittings towards the middle of May.
