TAX-FREE NEW ZEALAND?

Sir. —It is evident from Mr. Barker’s letter that neither his party nor he himself stands for a tax-tree New Zealand and that the National Party cannot give us any better than we are getting at present, except that it may alter the taxes around to suit its party ideas, which are orthodox just the same as .the Labour Party. No party can give us a cure from .the ills of the cursed debt and interest systems which have very cunningly and cleverly been toisted upon us by international banking institutions who know no country or law but are a law unto themselves and are out to deliberately bring about the downfall of the British Empire so as to bring about a world slave state and so that they will be the sole dictators of our lives.

Let us not forget the promises of the Labour Party m the 1935 elections and after. What has it done?—only kept to international banking orthodoxy. Just look at taxation: In 1939 it was £23, in. 1942 £42. and in 1944 £65 per head. This is in keeping with orthodox finance which every party holds fast to. So why vote one out to put another in unless it is prepared to serve the people? Under Labour the cursed burden of debt and interest has increased out of all reason and most of the debt is created costlessly and interest on this costless creation keeps everyone a slave to the tune of over £1 a week from tile cradle to the grave to keep up a worn-out financial system of Caesar of unpayable debts. Whcvi have the National Party and Mr. Barker ever faced up to the question. “Where's the money coming from ” No, Mr. Barker, this catch-cry of blaming the other fellow for the state of chaos is getting a thing of the past. The time is ripe for the exit of all partyism, unionism, internationalism and all other 'ism’s, as they are all one when finally boiled down. We should replace with a commonsense economic policy which will distribute the gifts of Mother Earth, together with the services of man for the benefit of mankind as laid down in Holy Writ, which we are not carrying out under the present Christian ttnd orthodox system of to-day. Truth, together with a sound economic system, will set you free from all debt and interest and Uteri we will be able to live in peace and in a true democracy which the British Empire iias always said that it stood for. TAX-FREE.
