OVER 170 LIVES LOST
FERRY-BOAT CAPSIZES JAPANESE DISASTER (9.30 a.m.) TOKYO. March 25. The Kyodo news agency reported that more than 170 persons were killed when a 20-ton ferry capsized near Onagawa, north-easi of Honshu. The rescuers picked up about 100 swimming or clinging to pieces of wood. The ferry carried a heavy load of rice and 300 passengers, though its normal passenger load was 120.
