OBITUARY
MR. MALCOLM GRAHAM The death occurred suddenly at the Cook Hosptal on Sunday evening, while undergoing an operation, of Mr. Malcolm Graham, a well-known and esteemed resident of the Gisborne district. Mr. Graham was born at Stornaway, Scotland. 70 years ago, and during his youth followed the sea. making trips to many parts of the world. Thirty-seven year's ago he came to Gisborne to settle and for the last 29 years had been employed by the Gisborne Sheepfarmers’ Mercantile Limited as foreman in their grain store. He retired from this position three months ago and had not been ailing long, his death coming as a shock to his many friends. At the age of 40 Mr. Graham was married in Auckland to Miss Sarah McCormick, a member of a family well known in Gisborne. To mourn him Mr. Graham leaves his wife and one son. Mr. Donald Graham. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Gisborne.. A service is to be held in Cochrane’s chapel at 1.45 p.m. to-morrow, after which the funeral will be held at the Taruheru cemetery.
