Suppression of Names
“The court holds the decided view that it is not an unmixed blessing, either for the accused or for a potential employer,” said Mr. A. A. McLachlan. S.M./in the Wellington Magistrate’s Court when considering an application by counsel for the .suppression of the name of a young man whom he had admitted to probation for theft. It was better for an accused to enter a new-position with the lull facts known, otherwise it might come as a shock to the employer to learu them later, he added.
