CARDINAL GILROY
GREETING IN SYDNEY GO a.m.) SYDNEY. March 24. The largest gathering of Roman Catholics since tlie Eucharistic Congress of 1928 attended the ceremony yesterday in honour of Cardinal Gilroy. who returned to Sydney on Friday after beifig consecrated as a cardinal in Rome'on February 18. The procession, which left the apostolic delegation in north Sydney and travelled to the Cathedral via Circular Quay and Macquarrie street, passed through streets lined with cheering crowds. Tlie ceremonies inside the Cathedral were amplified to the throngs of people unable to gain admittance.
