Majestic.—Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, one of the most popular detective teams on the screen to-day, continue the thrilling adventures of those super-sleuths of liteiatuie, Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson, in Universal's "The Woman in Green,” coming to-day to the Majestic Theatre. Based upon the characters created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the film is the eleventh of the mystery dramas starring Rathbone and Bruce. The associate feature is “The Sultan's Daughter,” a comedy calculated to keep one in fits of laughter, it stars Charles Butterworth and Ann Corio. Kir ,’s.— Johnny Weissmuller, in the title role, Brenda Joyce, and Johnny Sheffield are co-starred in the latest Taran him, iaizan and the Amazons,” which commences at the King’s Theatre to-morrow. The action revolves around Tarznn’s adventures with a baud of women warriors living in hidden valley in Central Africa, who have managed to keep their existence a secret by killing all intruders. The parts of the English explorers who are captured by the Amazon women arc taken by Henry Stephenson and Don Douglas. Maria Ouspenskaya has the role of the Amazon queen. Regent.—“ Son of Lassie.” commencing at the Regent to-morrow, is the thrilling sequel to “Lassie Como Home,” and once again patrons are promised a heart-warming story (set against a scenic background of unparallcd beauty), engaging romance, and a host ot thrills. Based on the late Eric Knight’s characters, “Soil of Lassie” will win warm approval. Peter Lawford, Donald Crisp and June Lockhart are the principal players with, of course, “Lassie and Laddie,” the stars, there are sessions to-morrow at 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and on Saturday at 10.30 a.m. (special children’s matinee), and 2. 5 and 8 p.m.
