BROADENED BASIS SJAHRIR STILL HEAD GO a.m.) BATAVIA. March 3. Dutch sources report that, the. Indonesian Prime Minister, M. Sjahrir, has resigned. His resignation was tendered after a vote of the Central Committee of the Indonesian Nationalist movement in favour of broadening the Cabinet. Republican reports said the vote was not directed against M. Sjahrir.
Shortly after the announcement of M. Sjahrir's resignation the Nationalist
radio staled he was asked to form a new Cabinet, savs the Sunday rimes’ correspondent in Batavia. M. Sjahrir therefore will continue as Prime Minister of the reconstructed Cabinet, in which the principal political parties will be represented.
