Jerusalem Stone for Church
The erection of a Maori church at Moteo is proposed shortly, and the Rev. M. Bennett C.F.. exhibited to Hastings Rotarians this week a slab of white stone he had brought, from Jerusalem for incorporation in the building. This stone was cut from the quarry from which King Solomon cut stone to build bis temple. Grocers' Conference For Gisborne At the New Zealand Master Grocers’ conference, which has just concluded its meetinges in Rotorua, Mr. T. G. IT. ITardiman, on behalf of the Gisborne master grocers, invited the conference to meet next year in Gisborne. The invitation was accepted, and next year in February about 150 delegates from all parts of New Zealand will assemble here.
