"National Velvet.” produced in Tcchnicolour with a great cast and an absorbing, human story of a boy and a girl and a horse. You II thrill to the great climax: the running of the Grand National race. You’ll meet the delightful Brown family and the hoy who came out of nowhere to help launch them on a series of wonderful adventures. "National Velvet” stars Mickey Rooney with Elizabeth Taylor, It is a picture the entire family will love. Majestic A highly dramatic film. "Man From ’Frisco,” is the principal attraction in an excellent double-feature programme at the Majestic. Advance notices say that the "Man From ’Frisco” was "the toughest guy who ever bossed a shipbuilding crew or conquered a woman’s heart.” and that his private life was the talk of the town. Michael O’Shea. Anne Shirley, and Gone Locknrt arc in the featured roles. The associate film is a thrilling mysstery hit "Spv Train," co-starring Chick Chandler and Evelyn Brent. King's.—" Billy Rose’s Diamond Horseshoe.” which opens to-day at the King's, finds Betty Clrable at her best and 20th Century-Fox providing a spectacular Tcchnicolour production. Packed with good songs, hilarity, many dance routines and attractive girls, the film makes exciting fare. Miss Gralde is. seen as Bonnie, "the girl with the most beautiful legs on Broadway.” Dick Haymow, a new singing "find,” is co-starred with Miss Grnblc.
