TOKOMARU BAY RESULTS

SMITH WINS A SECTION

The Tokomaru Bay How-liny Club conducted its annual tournament recently. Sixteen teams participated, including three teams from Gisborne, three from ltuatoria and four from Tolnga Bay. Conditions were ideal, the day being mild ami the green i; splendid order. At the completion of five rounds N. it. Smith's Tolnga Bay team was undefeated i > the B Section, while in A Section J. Oates’ team (Tokomnru Bay) and K. Paerala's team (Tokomaru Bay) had each won four games. In the play-off to find the winner of A Section, J. Oates defeated K. Paeratn by one point.
