MINISTER INJURED
FOUL PLAY SUSPECTED
WAS BATAVIA-BOUND (9 a.m.) _ BATAVIA. Feb. 12. __ M. Sjahrir's senior Minister, M. Sjarifoeddin, has been in a motor car accident in central Java and has been taken to hospital. The details have not yet been received, but suspicions of foul play have been expressed. M. Sjarifoeddin was en route to Batavia in response to an urgent summons from M. Sjahrir. The Premier had sent a special messenger to Dr. Soekarno with details of the Dutch offer and urgently requested the presence of M. Sjarifoeddin, who is noted for his moderation.
