BRISTOL BOMB SCARE
When a 5001 b German bomb was being removed from the Bristol A.R.P. headquarters, it broke the chains and fell to the ground. The large crowd watching desperately threw themselves to the ground. The bomb only cracked a paving stone. The crowd picked themselves up shamefacedly when they were told that the fuse had already been removed. The bomb is being placed in the city museum.
