TASMAN AIRWAYS' OFFER (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 14. Following a recent meeting of the board of directors of Tasman Empire Airways, Limited, held in Sydney, an offer has been submitted to the United Kingdom. Australian and New Zealand Governments through the Tasman Air Commission to operate a Pacilie service to and from the United States in conjunction with the present trans-Tasman service. The company, in announcing this, states that it- policy is to use British machines as soon as suitable aircralt are available, but in the meantime the services would be operated by American machines of Douglas manufacture (Skymaster type).
