MACLEAN’S RECOVERY (N.Z.E.F. Correspondent.) LONDON. Feb. 12,
The N.Z.E.F. Rugby team to meet Oxford University on February 14 is as follows: Scott, Meates, Smith, Argus, Dobson, King, Edwards, Bell, Ingpen, Simpson, Thornton, Grant, Johnstone, Nelson and Finlay (captain). J. Mac Lean, who suffered a spinal injury at Swansea in the first match of the tour, had his plaster of paris straitjacket removed last week, and X-ray photographs show that it is not necessary to operate. The doctors advise that, with the aid of light exercise in the next few weeks, Mac Lean will be completely cured and that he is now discharged from hospital. The N.Z.E.F. team to meet Devon and Cornwall at Torquay on February 16 is as follows: Scott. Boggs, Smith, Argus, Allen, Kearney, Saxton (captain), Bond Haigh, -McPhail, Blake. Young, Rhind, Arnold and Finlay.
