LODGINGS IN SYDNEY UNIVERSITY STUDENTS (9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 13. More than 1000 “freshers,” who are embarking on Sydney University courses this year, are trying desperately to find lodgings in the city and suburbs. They include unmarried exservicemen who have come from New Zealand, Queensland and Western Australia to complete courses in veterinary science, medicine and social studies. If shelter is not found for between 400 and 500 immediately, they will not be able to take the course this year. Students who are already half-way through the courses are obliged to look for new lodgings each week be.'! use of the temporary nature of the accommodation. At least 215 married men, including New Zealanders, have nowhere to turn for accommodation. They are mostly ex-servicemen due to begin courses under, the university rehabilitation scheme. Makeshift huts are being built bill they will not oe finished before the term opens on March 11.
