WRONG AIRCRAFT
FRUITLESS VIGIL 1 SABOTAGE THEORY
MR. CHIFLEY'S REACTION MELBOURNE. Jan. 30. R.A.A.F. officers from New Guinea reveal that Mr. J. B. Chifley’s plane, which was allegedly sabotaged in the islands last month, was left unguarded by mistake. The airmen detailed to guard the plane stood on guard throughout the night around the A-rong plane. There is yet no indication as to when the report on the sabotage attempt will be made. It is understood that Mr. Chifley takes the allegations lightly, and that the investigation may be dropped.
