DISINHERITANCE
“NO BILL PREPARED” (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 30. “No disinheritance bill has been prepared, it is not proposed to prepare one, and I Know of no suggestion inside the Government policy of such a proposal,” states the acting Prime Minister, Mr. W. Nash, in a letter to the Associated Chambers of Commerce. The latter had written to Mr, Nash as follows: “We usually pay small attention to rumours, but there arc wide reports that it is tile intention of the Government to introduce a disinheritance bill in the forthcoming session of Parliament. We would be glad to learn from you whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce such a measure?” Mr. Nash in his reply said that until he read in the press a letter on the subject of the rights of inheritance he had never heard of the proposal in the direction mentioned.
