WHEAT FOR BRITAIN
CANADIAN DISCUSSIONS LIFTING RESTRITIONS X OTTAWA. Jan. 28. The Minister of Trade, Mr. J. A. I'MacKinnon, on his return after visiting Britain said the British restrictions on imports from Canada would be relaxed as soon as circumstances permitted. An announcement would be | possible within a few weeks. Mr. MacKinnon said there would be an assured market for Canadian wheat overseas for the next two years and, he hoped, for four years. A wheat contract with Britain would be signed within a few months. Canada, he said, was at present exjporting wheat to the last bushel as Squickly as transportation permitted.
