CESSATION IN ITALY
ALLIED NOTE ISSUE NEW ITALIAN CURRENCY (9 a. m .) LONDON, Jan. 29. The Allies have ceased issuing occupation money in Italy as a result of an agreement between the Italian Government and the Allied authorities, says the Exchange Tclcpraph's correspondent in Rome. Italy henceforth, will supply the Allies with Italian banknotes. The amount will be credited to Italy lor the purchase of raw materials. The occupation lire at present circulating is estimated to total £1,350,000 which will gradually be withdrawn and substituted by Italian banknotes.
