THE Government has approved the granting of a number of one-year bursaries to enable students interested in veterinary science to take the Medical or Agricultural Intermediate Examination in New Zealand, which is accepted as equivalent to the first year’s course in veterinary science. Bursars who are successful in passing this examination will be considered for a further bursary to enable them to complete a course in veterinax-y science. The bursary is of the value of £7O, with an additional £4O by way of boarding allowance in the case of a student who is obliged to live away from home or his usual place of residence while undertaking the course. Applicants must have passed the University Entrance Examination, and have attained age of 1C years by Ist June, 1946. Prefei'ence given to students possessing experience in livestock management. Formal application should be made in the first instance to the DirectorGeneral, Agriculture Dept., Box 3004, Wellington, not later than sth February, 1946.
