ANNAMESE STRONGHOLD

STRONG FRENCH ASSAULT

(10 a.m.) LONDON, Dec 17. British 25-pounders close to Saigon signalled the opening of the biggest military operation in French Indo-China since the Allies arrived, says the Daily Mail’s correspondent at Rangoon.
