Gifts to Cook Hospital
The lady superintendent of the Cook Hospital, Miss J. L Martin, acknowledged the following gifts to the hospital in her report to the meeting of the board yesterday: Tickets for the Show, Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Association: tickets for the November race meeting, Poverty Bay Turf Club; weeklies, Mrs. M. W. Craig; papers, anonymous: children’s woollen goods, Mrs. J. Atkins.
Report on Hospital Inspection The report of an inspection of the Cook Hospital by the assistant inspecting house manager, Mr. F. W. Moore, forwarded by the Director-General of Health, came before the Cook Hospital Board yesterday. The managing secretary, Mr. C. A. Harries, said that Mr. Moore had carried out an exhaustive inspection and had made a number of suggestions which would be _of great benefit when put into practice. The report was very satisfactory, with no outstanding faults or alterations being considered necessary. The board received .the report.
