WAIAPU CLUB’S PLANS
MANY OFFERS OF HELP
An enthusiastic and well-attended public meeting held in Ruatoria on Saturday afternoon unanimously agreed to give all the support necessary to the VVaiapu Racing Club (Inc.) to carry on racing on the East Coast. Mr. 0. T. Williams, the president, outlined the present position of the club, and answered questions.
Numerous suggestions wore put forward to put the club’s finances in order, and it was resolved that fin intensive drive be made on the Coast to secure a minimum of 500 members. Many donations have been promised, and the prospects are distinctly promising. Offers of support have been received from Tolaga Bay and Gisborne.
The annual meeting of the club will be held on Saturday, February 2.
