STRIKE SETTLED
SINCLAIR OIL COY.
NAVY TO HAND OVER
(10 a.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 17. The Navy Department announced that the Sinclair Oil Corporation strike has been settled and the company’s 11 plants which were placed under navy control early in October would be restored to the company. _ It is announced the settlement included a wage increase of 8 per cent, and an anti-strike clause. The workers originally sought a 30 per cent. rise. The navy still controls 38 plants belonging to other companies.
