POLLING NEXT MONTH
COUNCILS IN' ENGLAND MAJOR PARTIES ACTIVE (Special Correspondent.) (10 a.m.) LONDON. Oct. 24. The municipal elections will be held in England and Wales on November 1 when representation on 421 councils will be decided. Labour is making vigorous efforts while the Conservatives are fighting under the name of Conservative and not under an assortment of labels. The Liberals wui also be strongly represented. Labour is naturally hoping that its representatives will control tie majority of councils, more particularly as the local authorities are going to play such an important part in rehousing
