QUISLING EXECUTED AT OSLO
CRIMES EXPIATED APPEAL JJY WIFE REPRIEVE REFUSED (11 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. Vidkun Quisling, leader' of the Norwegian Puppet Government, was shot at 2.45 a.m. in the Oslo fortress, according to the Exchange Telegraph’s correspondent at Oslo. The Norwegian Embassy confirmed that Quisling had been shot. King Haakon, at a Cabinet meeting yesterday, refused Madame Quisling’s appeal for a reprieve. Quisling sent a message to the King reaffirming his innocence, but stating that he would not ask for a reprieve. Neither the Supreme Court nor the State Prosecutor recom-
