WELCOME HOME ASSURED PEOPLE’S CHANGE OF VIEW (10 a.m.) TOKIO, Oct. 24. Despite the military code, which disgraced forever the Japanese soldiers whom the Allies captured, they will be welcomed home. The questioning of their families revealed that the present Japanese attitude is apparently that exprisoners fought as hard as they could until they surrendered. Therefore, they would not be dishonoured but should be treated sympathetically and not scornfully.
