ARRIVAL OFF SAIGON
FRENCH PLANE-CARRIER TROOPS REINFORCED (9 a.m.) SAIGON, Oct. 22. The French aircraft-carrier Bearn has arrived at Cap St. Jacques, south of Saigon, with reinforcements, reports a British and French communique. Allied troops silenced snipers who fired on them on bridges across the River Cho. Indian troops made house-to-house searches in a suburb in the Govap area and found more arms and ammunition.
