ALLIED TROOPS SNIPED

ANNAMESE DISPERSED (11.30 a.m.) SAIGON, Oct. 22. A British and French communique reported that the Annamese continued sniping Allied troops holding the Cho River bridges north of Saigon, but a few artillery rounds dispersed them. The police said that since the revolt began 220 French citizens had disappeared. Nineteen of them were killed and 32 are presumed killed.
