Winter, J.P.,' district coroner, on Saturday morning, and after hearing evidence of identification liy Vincent Fraser, and the evidence o Constable Q, Tomlinson, who brought tho body into Wairoa, it was adjourned sine die, At the annual meeting of the Wairoa A. and P. Society Mr. H. Bayly was reelected president, as was Mr. W. Torbott, vice-president, and Mr. W. A. Crarsr, lion treasurer.
A motion of sympathy with Mr. D. 11. Withers, secretary, and wishing him a npcedy return to health, was passed at tho annual meeting of fhe Wairoa A. and P. Society. Mr. Withers was also congratulated on ids excellent services and the splendid manner in which he had produced the balance sheet.
Letters of sympathy are to be forwarded to the Poverty Bay A. and I’. Society and the relatives of the late Mr. Henry Tucker, in the great loss sustained pi his death, tlie president of the Wairoa society, Mr. HBayly, remarking that Mr. Tucker had proved a tower of strength to the Gisborne organisation, being most generous in his donations towards tho progress of agriculture and pastoral activities. Mr. .1. M. Taylor, chairman of the Wairoa Hospital Board, is a patient in tho Wairoa Hospital.
