MATAWAI NEWS
A party of families of local people attended the children's pence hall held in the Mot uh ora Hall on Saturday night, in addition to the Motu nnd Mohihora children whose school funds benefited by the function. The music was supplied by Mrs. and Miss Whitehead, and Miss Brown contributed extras. Mr. Brown acted as M.C., and the Indies provided the. supper. Heavy rain fell continuously all night. Mr. 0. R. Robb nnd the Misses .T. and N. Robh has returned from a visit to Auckland. —Mrs. A. E. Gibson leaves to-day on a holiday visit tn Nubnkn. Mrs. N S. Gibson paid a brief visit to her parents. Mr. and Mrs. W. Calcott, at the week-end. —Mrs. Lyall and two daughters returned to Homebrook on Thursday.
