Bus Revenue Slightly Higher.
A slight increase in the fares collected from June 17 to July 1 brought the revenue of the Gisborne 'Borough bus service higher than - in the corresponding period of 1044. Passengers this year numbered 37,983 (1944. 3 m 659) which .brought in .£483 os (£478) in fares. The hospital subsidy of £6 10s was the same. The miles travelled during the period this year were 5,339 compared witli 5.379 last vear The average per mile was 22.01 d this year, last year’s figure being 21.59 d,
