Gisborne Second On Dominion List.
Gisborne was in second place in the Dominion list of May sunshine recordings as compiled by the New Zealand meteorological service. Taurnnga held a substantial lead with '7-1 hours of bright sunshine and Gisborne followed with 158.9 hours, two hours ahead of Auckland. Gisborne’s maximum temperature during May was G 7.3 degrees and the minimum 24.7 degrees. The highest maximum temperature on the Dominion list was 74.2 degrees.
