NEW LEADERS GREETED
SCENES IN WARSAW . . LONDON, July 1. Thousands of Poles gathered in a large'ruined theatre in a square in Warsaw to v hear addresses by _ the leaders of the new Provisional Gov_enuhent,: rieport agency correspondents, The crowd gave special attention to M. Mikolajczyk, who later said he;expected recognition of the Government from Britain and America within a few- days. - - M. Mikolajczyk, with M. OsoblcaMOfavski, M. Comolka, M. Stanczyk and other leaders, appeared on the beflagged balcony of the Opera House while- 50,000 people cheered and shouted the leaders’ names and the slogan. ‘ Unity!”. When M. Mikolajczyk tried to reach his cdr-he was overwhelmed. Eventually- he got into his car but found he ■was unable to move, the crowd trying to chair him and the car as well.
