<lO a.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb 9 Denying reports that the Italian ai mistice terms include sweeping territorial dispositions at Italy’s exlT nKC V ll le Under-Secretary of State, Mr. J. C. Grew, said the Armistice refers to the present and not the luture conditions and does not concern post-war settlements. Mr. Grew added that Italy s co-belligerency rendered it unnecessary to apply the original terms.

The Associated Press points out that the statement is believed to indicate American support for a gradual change in Italy s status towards full admission to the United Nations. However the British are reported to be reluctant to alter Italy’s status.
