U.K. MISSION’S VISIT TALKS IN'"AUSTRALIA (9 a.fn.) CANBERRA. Feb. 9. An arrangement for control of communications within the British Commonwealth of Nations after the war will satisfactorily meet the requirement which the Dominions sought during the Prime Ministers’ conference in London last year. This deduction is drawn here from the amicable completion of the talks which the British tele-communication mission has had during the past week with representatives of the Australian Government. As a result of the discussions, an extension of the scheme sought by the Dominions in London is acceptable to Australia, on condition that other Dominions agree. The details will not he announced until the approval of all the Dominions has been obtained. Lord Reith’s mission will visit New Zealand, South Africa and Canada. The object of the mission’s talks with the Dominions is to achieve the most efficient, speedy and cheap Empire cable and wireless channels possible. It is likely that the final conference will be called in London.
