KONIEV’S FORCES 30 MILE WEST OF RIVER (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (11.30 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 7 ' Marshal Zhukov’s armies on the Lower Oder River sector ol eastern Germany have announced the capture of a town three
miles east of Frankfurt, while the Germans are being gradually eliminated from the down-river fortress of Kustrin. On the Upper Oder in Silesia, German reports say that Marshal Koniev’s forces, from their 50-mile bridgehead, have reached a point 30 miles west of the river.
