NOTED SWIMMER DIES
DR. ARTHUR T. KENNEDY SYDNEY. Jan. a. Or. Arthur Thomas Kennedy, a former world swimming champion and record holder, died hero aged 77. Ho was regarded as the swimming phenomenon of his day. Before he went to America in IH9I to complete his dentistry studies, lie won swimming championships in Australia. In America, for three successive years, Dr. Kennedy won the Atlantic chainpionshipynational championship I wire and 100 yards championship of the world. The records which he established for Ihe 100 yards and mile in America stood for many years. Dr. Kennedy gave up competitive swburning when he returned to Australia to practice his profession in l.HOfi.
