STRATEGIC ROAD
SUPPLY TO CHINA LEDA-BURMA LINK COLUMNS CONVERGE (10 a.m.) CHUNGKING. Jan. 4. The Chinese High Command has announced that only 30 miles separate the two Chinese columns moving from Northern Burma and Western Yunnan towards a junction which will mean the opening of the Leda-Burma road. Only war materials will be transported on the road, with ordinary merchandise rigidly excluded.
