FOR WOMEN ONLY
A Melbourne engineering factory, on 100 per cent war work, is run by women only, except for one man who does the heavy lifting and makes morning and afternoon tea. The girls can have time off for a rest from, standing or for morning tea when they need it. Tea is made in a billycan and drunk from enamel mugs. Navy blue jeans and flat-heeled clogs are do rigour. They find the work is hardest on the hands. All loft soft jobs to take on factory work. The factory has been going for two years. ____
