OFFICERS REACH AUSTRALIA Five officers of the Women’s Royal Naval Service have arrived in Australia to take up duties on the start’ of Vice-Admiral Daniel, of the British Pacific Fleet. Chief-Officer Betty Samuel, who taught physical culture and * dancing at girls’ schools in southern Queensland for eight- years, returned to England before the war, and has had a distinguished career in the W.R.N.S. w.i?* appointed area officer for the Wrens in Normandy and was in chance of an advance party which went over shortly after ■he invasion.
