GISBORNE CUSTOMS RETURNS FOR 1944 DECEMBER INCREASE Revenue collected at the Gisborne office of the Customs Department during 1914 was £19.890 more than in 1943. tire respective total collections being 11203.128 and £183.237. Special war taxation was £10,137 more in 1944 than in the previous year, and the increase in ordinary revenue was £9753. There were substantial increases in customs, beer excise and sales lax.
