U.S. SUBMARINE LOST
TORPEDO-BOATS SUNK WASHINGTON, Jan. 2. The Navy Department announced that the United Stales submarine Harder is overdue and must be presumed lost. This ;s the thirty-fifth United States submarine to be lost. The Navy Department also announced the loss as a result of enemy action of a landing ship oil Orrnoc and P.T. 300 in the Philippines area and P.T. 311 in the Mediterranean area.
