TAKE NOTICE that a Petition by James Douglas Smith of Gisborne Civil Servant praying for the dissolution of his marriage with you on the ground of separation for not less man tnree years has been filed in the Supreme Court at Gisborne together with a notice io the effect that unless you file in the Registry of this Court at Gisborne an answer to the said Petition you will not be entitled to be heard on the Petition except on questions of costs, custody of children, maintenance, or other ancillary relief, and the Court may proceed to hear the Petition and pronounce judgment without your being heard. Such notice further intimates that until you have given an address for service in manner provided by the Rules of the Court, you will not except where personal service on you is expressly required by the said Rules, be entitled to be served with notice of any proceeding or matter in connection with the said Petition or arising in this cause or with copies of any further affidavits or othc-r documents filed herein, or to address the Court either in person or by Counsel at any stage of the .proceedings: such notice further intimates that if a decree for dissolution of marriage is made, such decree is a decree nisi in the first place and until upon further application the decree is made absolute, the marriage is not dissolved, and a decree nisi is not a defence to a charge of bigamy.
