£40,000 WHEAT FIRE

SYDNEY, Dec. 26. Members of the Wheat Guard and fire assessors inspected me damage caused by a fire which destroyed 30,000 bags of wheat beside the mill of James Loneragan Milling Company at Gulgong. It is estimated that the damage to the wheat and buildings will amount to more than £40,000. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it has been suggested that it may have started spontaneously.
